Getting Started:
Hockey is a fun, fast-paced sport for all ages! Beginners can join learn-to-skate or learn-to-play programs to build confidence on the ice.
What to Expect:
Practices focus on skating, stickhandling, and teamwork. Younger players start with non-competitive, fun-focused games.
Costs & Assistance:
LPHA offers free registration for the 1st year and scholarships are available to those with a financial need.
You must also register for USA Hockey which costs range from $30.00 for a 6U to $91.00 for a 14U player.
LPHA will also also hold a deposit until April 15 of the following year to cover fundraising and Volunteer hours. The whole deposit will be refunded if fundraising and volunteer hours are met.
Parent Tips:
Arrive early (30 min) for practice to get geared up.
Cheer positively and encourage players to have fun!
Mites and Mitey Mites
This program is to encourage young boys and girls to try hockey. Boys and girls, 8 and under and are eligible for these programs for up to four seasons. We Offer you the first year free and for a registration fee of $125.00 for second and third year registrations , young skaters can join hockey. LPHA provides most of the equipment needed:
