LPHA Volunteer Requirements:
The Long Prairie Hockey Association is an organization run by volunteers, including its board members, coordinators, and countless others who volunteer their talents and services daily. Our volunteers are absolutely essential to maintaining and growing the Long Prairie Hockey Association. The LPHA reserves the right to change this policy as needed including the total number of hours needed to satisfy the minimum requirements.
ALL FAMILIES ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE 2 HOUR OF RINK SET UP IN FALL AND 2 HOURS OF RINK TEAR DOWN IN SPRING. THESE HOURS WILL NOT BE APPLIED TO DIBs HOURS.
We base the number of required volunteer hours on the number of families, number of games and the necessary positions to complete our season.

Volunteer schedules will be found on the DIBs tab on our website. To get credit for hours worked you must first claim the hours on Dibs and then you are responsible for recording your hours on the time sheets located inside the concession stand. If you would like more information about what is required of each option for fulfilling volunteer obligations contact your team rep or a board member.
Please keep in mind that when you are asked to help, it is another parent volunteer doing the asking. Please do what you can and if the timing is not right, offer your assistance for another time. We really need everyone’s help! We also ask that families are honest with what hours they are recording, the object is not to hurry and “get rid of hours” but to lighten the workload that many have taken on for themselves in the past. We’d like to see everyone doing their part to make this organization a success and ensure that our children enjoy their youth hockey experience!
